The KVPY is managed by the IIS – Indian Institute of Science. For the current academic year, the KVPY is to be carried out by the 27th of October 2013. There are large number of candidates who applies for this scholarship programme. Mainly, there are 3 categories in which candidates are divided, they are:

KVPY SA,
KVPY SX,
KVPY SB.

SA – for candidates who are studying in 11th class,
SX – for candidates studying in 12th class and
SB – for candidates studying in B.Sc/ M.Sc etc.

There are different Paper Schemes/ Patterns for all these various sections.
