Pay Scale: Rs 15600-39100, AGP Rs 6000, and admissible allowances as per State Government rules.

Educational Requirements: 1. Good academic record with at least 55 per cent of marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master's degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian university, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Candidates are expected to have at least 50% marks at the Graduate level. 2. Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC, CSIR or a similar test accredited by UGC like SLET/SET. However, (i) candidates who have been awarded a PhD degree in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for award of PhD Degree) Regulations, 2009, or its equivalent from universities outside India shall be exempted from the requirement. (ii) NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for such Masters' Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

How To Apply: Step 1: Application forms can be obtained either from the University Office (Address: Cotton College State University (CCSU) office, College Hostel road, Panbazar, Guwahati-781001) on all working days (Between 1000hrs and 1700hrs) or by writing to the Registrar, Cotton College State University for a copy of the form enclosing a self addressed postage paid strong envelope (of A4 size, cloth backed) OR can be downloaded from the University website. The filled in application form, along with relevant documents and the requisite fee (as stated under) in the form of Demand draft payable to ‘Cotton College State University’ at Guwahati, should reach the CCSU office by 31st of January, 2014. Step2: The filled up application form should be attached with self attested copies of all certificates and relevant documents. It should be accompanied by a covering letter mentioning the post applied for along with the list of documents enclosed. Step3: All completed applications must be sent to the Vice Chancellor, Cotton College State University, College Hostel Road, Panbazar, Guwahati 781001, Assam, India. Please indicate the position and the department you have applied for on the cover of the envelope.
